Herringbone timber parquet laid through a period hallway

Services · Engineered timber & herringbone

Real timber on top, a stable core underneath. It still needs a flat, dry substrate to stay that way.

Engineered timber & herringbone in Newcastle and the Hunter

Engineered timber gives you a real oak wear layer with less movement than solid boards. Herringbone and chevron take that further: every block is cut and set to a line, so the set-out matters as much as the product.

We set out from the room, not the wall. Borders, transitions and stair nosings are planned before the first block goes down.

What's included

  • Engineered oak in wide boards, herringbone and chevron
  • Set-out planned to the room, borders and thresholds
  • Glue-down or floating, to the manufacturer's specification
  • Stair treads and nosings in matching timber
  • Expansion allowance designed in, not forgotten

Good for

Premium renovations · New builds · Period homes · Stairs and split levels
